Soundsuit is a professional service for businesses. It does not target the consumer market.

Solution like Soundsuit is fully legal for businesses to play music at point-of-sale.

On the contrary other solutions like iTunes, CDs, MP3 collection, Spotify, Deezer or Simfy are illegal at point-of-sale. This is because these solutions use music that is licensed only for private broadcast but not for public broadcast (please refer to “mechanical rights” issues).

Soundsuit is an intelligent music service dedicated to professionals. Because business owners are busy at work, they need a music service at point-of-sales that does all the work for them. This is why Soundsuit was developed. Now with the minimum of inputs or interactions, business owners benefits from a great soundtrack for their store, and this all day long.

How? Soundsuit continuously computes the right song, for the right time of the day, matching the business profile that is defined by the user. Soundsuit also learns from any interactions with the player. Day after day, Soundsuit then delivers a very personal soundtrack.

You may not know about all the newest artists, songs and music genres trending out there, but your know everything about your business and your customers! And this is why, when you are setting up the “interior design of your store” in the settings of the Soundsuit app, you are actually helping Soundsuit technology defining the matching “music genres” for your business.

Here is a simplified overview of how we map genres to interior designs:

Yes, Soundsuit is fully compatible with Sonos. Soundsuit is actually a certified partner of by Sonos, and can be connected – as a “Music Service” – to all Sonos speakers: Play:1, Play:5, Play One, etc.

To add Soundsuit to your Sonos system, please follow the small steps given by Sonos:
How to add a music service to Sonos >
Hinzufügen eines Musikdienstes zu Sonos >

Sonos is broadcasting Soundsuit music based on the settings that you selected on the Soundsuit web app (i.e. soundsuit.fm/play): business type, customer age, decor/atmosphere, etc.

If you are changing your settings on the Soundsuit web app (i.e. soundsuit.fm/play), then Sonos will play Soundsuit according to these updated settings with a short delay of three songs in the playlist. This means that, after you saved your new settings on the Soundsuit web app (i.e. soundsuit.fm/play), it will take to Sonos three songs to reflect the new music direction you defined. from the 4th song on, your music direction will be the one you just saved on the Soundsuit web app (i.e. soundsuit.fm/play).

Important remark: the Soundsuit music played via the Soundsuit web app (i.e. soundsuit.fm/play) and the Soundsuit music broadcasted one the Sonos speakers may differ. This is not a mistake or a technical issue. both music streams do actually match the central settings you defined on the Soundsuit web app (i.e. soundsuit.fm/play). However the titles may not play in the exact same sequential order on both platforms (Soundsuit.fm vs Sonos), due to technical constraints.

Please try first unplugging from power all of your Sonos devices. Then reboot your Internet router. Then please go back and plug in one of your Sonos devices, and wait a minute or two to finish booting up before moving on to the next speaker to plug it in.

That might take care of your issue, but if not, please submit a system diagnostic to Sonos within 10 minutes of experiencing the lost connection issue, and directly call in to Sonos to get their assistance.

You may have not yet activated the “crossfade” function for your Sonos system.

Crossfade creates a smooth transition between songs by fading out the last few seconds of the current song, and fading in the next song in the Queue. The icon will be illuminated when crossfade is enabled.

Using the Sonos app for iOS or Android:

On the Now Playing screen, tap the “3 dots” button to access more options.
Tap the icon next to Crossfade.

Using the Sonos app for Mac or PC:

At the top of the Sonos app, click the crossfade icon.

For more details, please refer to the following Sonos page:
